That's A Monday Me Problem

This Week's Problem: I’m ready to pivot, but I don’t know where to start

The gap between “I need to leave” and “I know where to go” is paralyzing. You’re not alone...there is a way forward.

Happy Wednesday, everybody!

Hope the long weekend gave you a chance to rest, reset, and catch up on everything — because we are all just trying to make it out here.

Speaking of making it out here, I have a submission this week that has really reminded me of my own journey over the past 9 months. Millennial or not, a lot of us are feeling restless in our jobs right now, and I have advice on what to do if you find yourself in a similar position.

The situation:

I am actively seeking to pivot out of my current job category after years in the same field. I have transferable skills, but I need guidance on how to effectively present them and break into new opportunities. I am extremely ready to make a change because my current work environment just isn’t sustainable. For example, I was given additional responsibilities without appropriate compensation, and my requests for fair pay adjustments have been ignored. I really feel like this is my sign to move on, not just from my job but the industry itself.
